We left Mackay this morning at 11:30 and are now anchored at Goldsmith Island, the southern end of the Whitsunday Islands. There was very little wind and we had to motor for most of the way, although we did sail for half an hour with the new genoa, which seems to work well. Estella spotted a small tear in the mainsail which we taped up temporarily, but we need to get the sail repaired as soon as possible - probably in Cairns.

We anchored the dinghy in a few feet of water, and after our walk on the beach it was down to six inches.
