Addo Elephant Park

While in Port St Elizabeth we visited Addo Elephant
National Park, which is named after the 11 surviving elephants that existed when
the park was created in the 1930s. Now there are over 500 elephants in the
park, all descended from those original few. In the park we saw some
animals we hadn't seen before (a jackal and some ostriches) but the main
attraction was a herd of about 150 elephants clustered around a water
hole.
