Where is the wind?

We get spoiled
sailing in the trade winds. We have just had several days of 20 knot
winds, the wake roaring behind us as we cruised along at 10 knots. Today
we have had 10 to 12 knots, the wake is just gurgling and we cruise
along at 5 knots. Everyone is a bit on edge because our projected arrival
time has increased by three days. But if we had been becalmed for a couple
of days then we would really be appreciating sailing at any
speed. C'est la vie.
To cheer us up we are having fish and chips,
done in Bertie's beer batter. Then we are going to watch South
Pacific (with pressure cooker popcorn) so we will be able to recognize some of
the islands we are about to visit.
