You have two (on a cat) but only actually need one to be working for everything to be fine. Unfortunately it turns out that both our alternators need fixing. One we knew was broken, but the one that seemed to work OK (at least when the engine was revved up) was apparently also on its last legs. Our departure has moved out yet again. We are looking at Saturday now, if the wind is not too strong.
