Some of the beaches in Oa Pou have "flower stones" which are a unique form of black volcanic rock, like snowflake obsidian with yellow snowflakes instead of white. Andrea and I walked from the anchorage to a nearby beach on a rock hunt. We found some interesting rocks but none were flower stones. Still, it was a nice walk and a beautiful beach.
