Mooring problem solved. All it took was a cats
cradle of ropes and now we have our sugar scoop held a few inches away
from the wall ladder over the full range of the tide. Here is Bertie
climbing up at low tide on his way to the ARC inaugural party.
Actually it was not quite as simple as just setting
up the ropes because, with me having spent quite a while in the morning
setting it up, the marina attendants came along in the afternoon and told
us we had to move sideways because we were not quite in a straight
line with the mooring buoys. It took a half hour of
intervention by the ARC organisers to persuade them that we were OK to
stay where we were.
