The Norwalk islands were just a convenient stopping off point before our
transit to New York. Andrea’s comment was that I take her to the nicest
places.
So she wasn’t that amused to be woken up at 2am by the anchor alarm going
off. We dragged 20 yards and the anchor re-hooked just before we had to
pull it up and re-anchor. Even so it is hard to go back to sleep when you
know you are getting blown rather too close to a rocky shore.
In the morning we were very close to some fish traps.
![]() The view from the anchorage was actually quite pretty, but this is all that
Andrea saw (is it “nucular”?).
![]() A slight wind shift and we will be on top of this fish trap. (In just
2 metres of water) |
