Yesterday the wind was still blowing hard and so we took a walk on Royal
Island. Our intention was to follow the road down the centre of the island
to a second set of ruins, but it was a pleasant day and in the end we walked
three miles to the end of the island.
![]() The various developers over the years have left quite a network of roads
and tracks
![]() The remains of one aborted development. I wonder if anyone bought lot
TB13?
![]() Lots of Gulf Fritillary butterflies everywhere, despite the wind
![]() The Bahamians have a termite problem
![]() Andrea found another treasure on the beach but I wouldn’t let her keep
it. Some kind of fish trap washed ashore?
![]() This family of Smooth Billed Ani had a very distinctive cry (http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Smooth-billed_Ani/sounds)
