Yesterday we took a trail across the island to the Atlantic side. 

 

The lizards in this nature reserve are unconcerned about humans

 

However often we see it, the Bahamian water colour continues to delight us

 

On a good day the Atlantic is just one big swimming pool

 

The sand here is aerated by the waves and left as a fondant which dries out to a smooth but unstable surface.  The shock from each step causes a mini cave-in around your foot.
