The night was shifting. Bright stars in one moment, mist cloud covering the sky the next. And at 4 am the rain came. We left Shelter Bay more then two months ago, and had very little rain there also, so the boat was covered with salt. We had to dig out foul weather suits. Bjørn just started his watch in the rain, but we all had to meet it, because it lasted on and off for six hours. Now the weather is nice.
We had to motor through last nigh also, but at 0730 we could start sailing. We have had everything between 12 and 24 knots. The sea is very confused, especially when the wind picks up.
We produce some fresh water, let the sun top up our batteries, checking weather forecasts, sometimes ajusting the sails, reading, talking, resting, and talking on the SSB radio. So far just with "Alutia", but there is another network operating also, so maybe we will check in there too.
Still we have good connections over the Pactor/SSB setup for emails, via Panama, but further out there seems to be few options, so we shall have to change from Sailmail (SSB) to Mailasail (Sat.phone)
Everything is well onboard, and the food is still excellent fresh.
