We spent almost 10 hours under sail from Nevis. The first three hours were behind St.Kitts, so we had to let the motor give a little helping push from time to time. But from St.Kitts and here to Sint Maarten was just lovely sailing. 14 - 18 knots of wind on the beam. So we did the 60 miles in less than 10 hours. And all the showers passed us in a respectful distance. When we arrived in Simpson bay and wandered where to anchor, we found that we had come just in time for the bridge opening into the Lagoon. So we lined up as the last boat in. Now we are at anchor in 2,6 m of water, so we have half a meter between the keel and the bottom! But the sea is totally calm. The airport is a little too close, but the traffic is not very heavy.
