At last some very good conditions. We are cruising along France, heading for
Guernsay at the moment. The sun is bright. We shall be in Cherbourg tomorrow
late.

Crossing the shipping lanes this morning - after a night of full moon - was
just a pleasure. Tankers and freighters gave way, just as they should. The
lookout is obviously much better here at the entrance to the English Channel
than it is out in the middle of the Atlantic.
