Tortola, BVI. Very modest. Two glases of wine in the bar.
We have always been weather cowards. Accordingly we postponed our departure
from BVI from the 5th to the 6th. Hopefully that will give us a better first
night at sea. The Azores high has been far from stable the last periode, but
looks a little bit better now. We cross our fingres.
The last few days have been occupied with preparations. Not as thorough as
in Las Palmas, and we are slower now. More in an island tempo I feel. But
now the boat is prepared. The provisions are in place. We don't keep track
of costs any more. The prices here are probably two to three times those of
Las Palmas! Our solution is to go many times to the store. Buy a little at
the time. Fooling ourselves of course!
Tonight we looked at the coconut palms. We shall miss them. We look forward
to come back to Europe and back home. But we feel more and more certain that
we will long for a next time...
