San Lorenzo national park

We asked a taxidriver to take us to Fort San Lorenzo – at the end of the
road in the national park, and then we walked the 10 km back to Shelter Bay
Marina. There was an amasing bird life, but we have to admit that we heard a lot
more than we saw. But the monkeys were there.
![]() ![]() We are not quite sure, but we think these are the hauling monkeys that we
hear almost all day and night. This morning they waked us up just before six
o’clock. Before you hea them you cannot believe that these small animals are
able to make this loud sound.

see the Chagres river.
![]() On our way through the rain forrest we saw this guiant bamboo. They were
probably closer to 30 m high. |
