Very interesting winds along the west coast of Guadeloupe! From Iles des
Saints in 25 knots of NE wind. Fine sailing. Behind Guadeloupe steady west
wind about 15 knots - until it changed. Then we had closer to 30 knots of
steady NE wind for about two hours before we arrived at Deshaies. The bay
was almost full, but we managed to set the anchor in sand 10 m deep.

A NNE swell of 4 m was predicted. It probably is somewhere out in the open
sea. Here it is more like 1 - 1.5 m. Long swell. Periode more than 10 s. It
is amazing to see when it breaks against the shore.

Hopefully we can go to Antigua tomorrow. It will almost be closhauled, but
not quite. 40 nM.

This anchorage may be a nice one in less wind and less swell...

The four Norwegian boats that were on the anchorage with us in Bourgh de
Saints chose Marigot, a bay further south on Guadeloupe. "Ruffen", "Yppi",
"Leikaren", "Motgang".
