We have improved progress a little by using wind shifts to our advantage but I am sure that if Moses were about and we could ask him to put a centre parting up the middle then Jack & Frank would be able to get to Suez on their bikes well before us, with plenty of time to stop and admire the unusual chasm.
The overnight port tack was making 30deg for much of the time which feels like we are almost traveling north but port tack is less comfortable for Diana and occasional groans eminate from the cabin. The aries allowed an unscheduled tack this morning while I was below causing several unsecured articles to leap across the galley including my cafetierre which is now done for. I have got through several of them over the last few years and now face the prospect of either nescafe (ugh) or unfiltered grounds in the cup.
