We left Tonga Tafu yesterday morning after the Alaskan and after clearing the islands hit some rather heavy seas which induced a request from the crew to turn round and a bout of sea sickness from the the skipper who has been laying low since. The sea is much more friendly now and we have made good speed towards Minerva reef- arriving early tomorrow if the wind holds overnight.
The Alaskan plans to skip minerva as the forecast is good through to NZ but we are keen to experience it and will be glad of the rest.
Skies have been grey and temperaure decidedly english. Just had some stew which seems to be staying down so hopefuly skipper back and available for action.
