The bullet train  departure hall in Xi'An in similar style to Stansted Airport but its even bigger.  This man was painting caligraphy sheets with long practised skill.  Each character is a picture in itself- maybe the complicated script explains chinese  engineering skill.	We went 2nd class this time but the seats we still very comfortable and only slightly closer together.
	Time for a walk round Chemgdu after we had found the Hotel. It was a very swish Zen hotel with a calming atmosphere.  The price was similar to the previous 2 but this was much more classy. Chengdu is known for the Panda breeding centre but the city is not particularly attractive. This bridge the only traditional building that we found on a long trek around the town.
