Known as the friendly island, locals wave at you as you pass and like all the islands they have a Co-op selling organic and great produce from around the world. The islands bake both GF and normal food, produce great vegetables, honey, soap, goats cheese, ice-cream and so on. A USA supermarket with more than 2 kinds of mushroom and goats cheese – unbelievable. Every island has a good quality bookstore as well.

Our gourmet restaurant here was Ursa Minor. The waiting staff were  little strange and as they warned us, the dishes were very small, but really delicious. The chicken heart skewers were outstanding, as was the rabbit and the goats cheese dessert. The salad was the best we think we have ever eaten, but GF was quite limiting.
Walking out we had the delights of a bald eagle (they are massive) and plenty of harbour seals.
Lopez seems to be the island that makes a lot of the produce the others then sell. The bakery does great GF food, but sells 2 for 1 for 2 hours a day so the locals bulk buy and we were warned the bakery runs out of some lines. Caroline never got to taste the cauliflower cake. This island is absolutely charming and the people really are charming and friendly as well.
