For the run-up to leaving for a trekking holiday in Columbia we are just going to relax, do a bit of walking training and visit National Monuments, Zion and National Historic Sites etc.
Zion was so crowded the first time we had to go back more out of season to do West Rim trail as we needed a longer, more strenuous walk than Angels’ Landing.

Hovenweap was charming and remote. Still everywhere is too cold at night, so we are going to St George, always warmer due to the lower altitude.
