Rather odd building a marina in a nature reserve. A baby turtle about 6 inched long was playing dead as needlefish were hunting nearby. A needlefish couldn't kill a turtle outright but will eat baby turtle limbs as they stick out of the sides of the shell – gruesome.

We love manatees, but can't believe they were ever a candidate for sailors' belief in mermaids?
