Nearly Burning Man time again

We are slowly making our way to Black Rock City. Caroline wanted some answers to the ancient history of horses in the USA. We popped to the Hagerman fossil beds National Monument, which houses the state fossil, the Hagerman Horse. Sadly we didn’t get the answers we wanted but Caroline did get a great Junior Ranger badge and a great quote, “to those who listen, even the stones will cry out”. A quick pit stop in Twin Falls was rewarded with the Snake River canyon and the only bridge in the USA where BASE jumping is allowed year-round without a permit. The jumper just draped a parachute over his arm and threw it up as he leapt off.  We are now spending a couple of days in the Shoshone-Paiute Recreation area just chilling with nights around a campfire to look at the night sky and toast marshmallows.
