The lady at the chandlery had reassured us that she had never seen winds greater than 20knots, so off we set with too much wind expecting it to calm down. Noo such luck as gusts of over 30knots brought a really nasty swell. Then for a few hours a pleasant sail, before grinding to a stand still with hours of force 1-2 winds. Then wind, then no wind, and so on, finally motoring into Angra do Heroismo.
