Little did we realise that on day 1 we photographed day 3s trail and on day 3 we photographed the 2 lakes from day 1.

Day 3 saw our second favourite National Park walk (after Angels' Landing) to Amphitheatre Lake, we set off a bit late and the temperatures rose to the mid 80s as we climbed and climbed. Astonishingly we found ourselves slipping on the snow as we reached Surprise Lake, swiftly followed by Amphitheatre Lake.
