Before our lovely swim, we get to view more wildlife, including a Macaroni penguin named Elvis. Elvis has turned up every year to find no mates, a solitary figure in amongst chinstraps.

Wildlife watching over, now back to the beach for our swim. Bismarck, one of the crew, kindly filled his Zodiac with ice which he then heaved into the swim areas. Heated towels are to be provided for us at the end of our Polar Plunge, sea temperature is -1C Caroline was actually pushing blocks of ice away during her swim.
