Set sail for the caribbean. An eventful start, had to motor to get out of the wind shadow of La Gomera sheltering us from the trade winds. A screeching alarm let us know that the engine had overheated. No wind, no engine and we are travelling backwards at 0.9knots. There was a lot of rubbish, plastic bags etc in the waterthat had probably floated into the water intake for the cooling system. We let it rest for a while and thankfully the obstruction floated away abd off we went.

We are making slow progress across the Atlantic and hope it will take about 4 weeks (at best).

Atlantic grey dolphins kindlhy gave us an aerobatic farewell display.

All we can see is the blue ocean now and we are certainly going to have to get used to this!
