The wind died gradually over the last couple of
days, giving us the opportunity to give the cruising chute a go, for about the
third time. We were rewarded with the arrival of a family of pilot whales who
stayed with us for a while.
Now motoring as we wait for the wind to return,
hopefully this evening, which should allow us to sail to Falmouth to refuel.
This will inevitably lead to having to clear in, which will mean an overnight
stop.
The change in weather has at least allowed the sun
to appear and the temperature in the cabin has gone from 58F to 72F, giving the
thermals a rest and the opportunity for a relatively comfortable shower, using
water heated by the engine, for which I'm sure the staff at Falmouth will be
grateful!
