Capitol Reef National Park

Every campsite here is now bookable and this park is on the way to the main Utah parks, so was mainly booked by people using it as an overnight stop; it just feels like a waiting room. We put ourselves in the only site with no reserved sign only to be told it was, in fact, reserved, but another site booking had just been cancelled.
This park is a bit of a mix on Arches and Canyonlands, but not as spectacular. There are orchards of fruit that can be eaten for free. It should have been ripe, but spring was late this year and so it wasn’t. We did enjoy the petroglyphs, but this is not a park we would rush back to.
