We are moored in a beautiful anchorage next to the
main town of Neiafu just down from the Port of Refuge. Mooring buoys are less
than a fiver a day and there are plenty of good cheap restaurants to choose from
- makes it difficult to get up the energy to leave.
The Friday yacht race adds grace to the
anchorage.
![]() The Tongan people are very different looking to the
rest of Polynesia and have a traditional dress which is incorporated into the
school uniform.
![]() ![]() It is not possible to provision the yacht for a
journey here, but there is plenty of good fresh food.
![]() We are trying to summon up the energy to move out
to an anchorage and explore the rest of this delightful
archipelago.
