Title: Martinique to St Lucia

14.04.533n 60.57.611w

With great reluctance we left Saint Pierre; every time (all of twice) we fall a little bit more in love with the place. Our families would be shocked at the wreck of a house for sale, that albeit fleetingly we considered what it would be like to live there (the tree growing out of the stone wall 30' up was the decider!).

The sail was fittingly on the nose wind, rain squalls, gusts from every direction. We didn't stick it for the whole journey, we stuck the engine on and just motored into slapping waves and wind. The anchorage at Rodney Bay was full of swell and typically we had arrived at night. This was to be a week to get the boat in better shape and hope to shrink our boat maintenance list. The tender engine was beautifully serviced at the usual place in Rodney Bay (Island Engine Services). We first used them in 2009. We have sorted out some main engine problems, reduced our leaks to 1 and treated as much rust as possible.
Obviously Elena's ice cream parlour required a daily check out along with the swimming pool.
Next up, Bonaire.
