Early morning drive to try to see wolves – not successful. The large herd of bison were so close one pooped on our RV step. Te road had so many bison on it, we just gave up.

The sights and sounds of a bison herd going about its normal everyday business: fights, rolling in dust, stamping about and grazing were positively prehistoric.

We just had to go to Mammoth hot springs as one of the early Star Trek films used this location for Spock's home planet Vulcan.

The lower falls of Yellowstone river and the brink of the falls were stunning sights, followed by a short hike to Tower Falls to finish our day.
