Now we've turned the corner, having joined the traditional Tahiti-Panama route, around Easter Island. Our first part of the journey involved very difficult conditions; bad sea states, numerous storms and fronts, often with adverse wind directions. Now we've left the stormy area and have to try to avoid being becalmed by the South Pacific High, before getting to the trade winds - yet another challenge.

We've managed to find a wind bridge across the High area and are heading north towards the trade winds, hopefully avoiding being becalmed for up to ten days, for which we are mightily grateful!
