To the second of our three Great Capes Cape Leeuwin

It was lovely to be back at sea once more, with the humpbacks (not too close please) and albatross. We motor-sailed most of the way to maintain 6 knots and arrive at Freo before the next south westerly blow. Chris and Kylie with Abbey, Zoe and Isabelle were there waving to see us off and they watched from above King Point, where we had walked a few days before, while we slowly crossed King George Sound for the last time. Cape Leeuwin was benign, lying grey and featureless in the distance and from there we had a nice offshore wind right up to the passage into Fremantle Bay and Success Harbour where Fremantle Sailing Club lives and where we are now.
