We stayed here for just one night in a sheltered spot with poor holding. In the morning we went ashore and bought basic food items. A pretty little place being kept tidy by the proud villagers. On the lagoon passage down we could not afford to deviate from the given waypoints but were guided by booby birds pointing the way while perched on the black posts either side of the channel. We guessed the canons were to ward off attacking Tongan warriors. Note the rope sleeping policemen across the road outside the hospital.
