Windlass shelf repairs

1 The windlass has pulled clean off this shelf taking some wood with it 2 Rob measures the depth of the shelf to make new wooden plates to cover the area 3 One spare dummy window to be sacrificed 4 Working in the anchor locker under sail 5 Shackle being sawn off the chain so the latter can be released from the windlass 6 top right bolt with washer was the only one doing its job. Two others with washers pulled clean through the wood 7 Salt encrusted on bottom of windlass gets removed 8 Initially the two plates are fixed 9 but this top one had to be removed as the windlass bolts were too short to go through both layers 10 Windlass fixed on the original shelf with the new plate underneath 11 Notice all the bolts now have washers and nuts, got to be an improvement
