Day 5/6
We are moored in Marina del Sole in Cagliari, the capital City of Sardinia.
The guys at the marina are very friendly and helpful however the marinas are very run down and almost have the look of a third world country - not what we were expecting.
Most of the yachts look abandoned, especially our neighbour, 'Capitan Blood', which has a huge pump running to keep it afloat.
The check in office looks like something straight out of 'Steptoe and Son' with all kinds of rubbish surrounding it and even more inside !
The adjoining boat yard also has some fine specimens prime for renovation.
The marina bar no longer stocks drinks and is also decaying and packed full of random clutter.
Although Grandad from 'Only Fools and Horses' is still in position behind the bar as if all is well !
On the plus side, there is a lovely board walk along the water front from the marina into the City and some magnificent buildings.

You can see the top of the Cathedral in the background.
Sardinia reminds us of Sicily, good coffee, good pasta and ice cream and quite majestic but in need of some TLC !
