The coastline in Cadiz bay is very varied, from high rise blocks to low rise attractive villas, interspersed with beautiful sandy beaches backed by thick green forest.

Whilst the far peninsular, where Cadiz is positioned, has the typical skyline of a major city

We are anchored off Playa de la Puntilla and we have just been swimming off the boat, it was beautifully warm, 30 degrees!

Mark is soaking up the evening sun, the music is playing and I am taking time out to keep you all up to date.

Just around the harbour wall from us is a club run marina that sounds very friendly. It is in a pretty town called Puerto de Santa Maria and from here you can also take a ferry across to Cadiz city.

We plan to stay by the beach here for a couple of nights and then visit the marina and Cadiz, by ferry, before moving on to our last port, Barbate, before we arrive in Gibralter.

Time for dinner…..
