Bonjour !

After a much improved weather forecast we left La Rochelle in the sunshine when the bridge opened at 12.45 on Monday 4^th May 2009.

The wind was fresh and so we set sail without engine and after a couple of hours we were out into the Bay of Biscay and into that Atlantic swell again,

this time the sea sick watch didn’t work !

For the first 18hrs we steamed along at an average speed of 9.5 knots under sail until the wind deserted us and we put the motor on.

After 24 hrs we got our appetites back and began eating again and whilst our pizza was cooking early evening we were delighted to be joined

 by lots and lots of dolphins, swimming with the boat and playing at the bow.

They stayed with us for several hours swimming out and then back to us and jumping out of the water, amazing !
