Life in Hurghada

Life is ticking by here in Hurghada - sunny days and no sign
of Christmas anywhere to be seen ! We have been enjoying spending time with our new friends on
the rally, coffee mornings, afternoon tea, going out for fish lunch near the
fish market, learning ‘Mexican Trains’, eating Sunday breakfast al
fresco at the new shopping Mal ‘Senzo’, and Mexican night following
a compulsory rowing competition on the pontoon ! We had to row as fast as possible over 500m which took
approximately 2 minutes but seemed much, much longer. Michelle and Irene log their times below.
Lica was heckled from behind as she completed her 500m.
Even
..and finally Peter showed us how it was done – so fast
he is just a blur in the photo. The winner of the ladies was Rhian from the Welsh contingent
‘Diamond Days’ whilst the winner of the men was Gavin, just 1
second faster than Peter ( and 25 years younger !)
The Mexican night got into full swing afterwards with plenty
of mojitos and rum punch, Chilli, Nachos and spicy chicken wings. Lica and Gavin departed early the next day to make their 35
hour journey back to Now its time to get a few jobs done, secure the boat and
pack our bags ready for imminent our trip home. |
