We got distracted on our way to Cairns and anchored at nearby Fitzroy Island instead last night.

The island is very pretty and after a swim we ventured ashore and had dinner at the resort which was very up market. We guessed that since we had saved the marina fee for the night we could spend it on dinner instead !

We are now entering the marina channel, it is 8.00am and we have just spoken to Aspen who are on their way out of Cairns.

They highly recommend the city and have spent a fantastic four days in the marina - so we are very excited about arriving.
