An Enchanting Evening !

Dinner out at a local ‘Pension’ and Bev and
Martin experience true ‘yachting’ life. The sea had chopped up and so we set out in the dinghy, in
the dark, with our bikinis on and our underwear and party dresses in a
waterproof bag. We landed safely after several salt water dunkings and found
some handy palm trees on the beach where we could hide and dress, yet again to the great amusement of the locals. Bev’s comment was ‘the girls will never believe this
– going out with curly hair, no heels and getting dry and dressed behind
a tree on the beach’ We had a great evening entertained by a rather rotund Polynesian
playing the guitar and singing. The French version of ‘she’ll be
coming round the mountain when she comes’ which involved the sea and a
kayak was very good. We were all presented with shell necklaces at the end of the
evening and given a lift back to the quayside, which was a hive of activity as
a supply ship was being unloaded. The lift was very nice but we were then faced with disrobing
under the spot lights in full view of everyone ! |
