Last night we had a very warm Tahitian welcome from the Major and the Tourist board.

A traditional band met us from the yachts and walked us through the streets to the town hall where we were welcomed

with drinks.

Each yacht was presented with a black polished oyster shell inscribed with the yacht’s name and we were then treated to a

colourful display of local dancing before tucking into a lovely buffet of local foods and fruit.  

Mark was singled out

for some audience

participation, and

seemed to enjoy

the experience !

Bev & I were glad not to be

picked as we certainly

couldn’t compete

with the Tahitian girls

when it comes to hip

swaying and wiggling!
