square with the town hall and bandstand, very grand. We found some nice restaurants nestled in the small
backstreets. Our afternoon siesta was rudely interrupted by a fellow
sailor who came to warn us that it was not safe to stay where we were moored
and several other yachts had retreated to the marina the previous day. Since we were beginning to rock around a lot and the stern
cleat had become quite loose from the lines snatching, we decided to move. It was 6.00pm, the marina was almost full and very small for
manoevering Blue Magic in high cross winds – so a quick decision –
we set off for a bay 6 miles around the coast. |
