We arrived in Guernsey on Tuesday morning only to find our first visitors waving us in from the quaside – how good is that !

It was Paul’s 50^th birthday and so he flew over with Jan from Southampton to join us for a celebration lunch, it was all last minute planning and a very nice surprise for everyone.

On Wednesday I took Mark for a swim at the local sports centre which was a bit of a shock to him and then we took a bus tour around the island in the afternoon to get ourselves into tourist mode.

The wind is blowing today so we have decided to spend another day here before hopefully leaving for France early tomorrow.

Our destination has been classified secret as we suspect Paul and Jan are stalking us !
