Bev and Martin arrived Thursday morning for breakfast, they have been seriously detoxing and were ready to go wild drinking and eating everything that they had denied themselves for several weeks !

We had a great time drinking, eating and chatting for a whole four days.

We took them into Porto on the metro – missing our planned express train as the girls insisted on stopping for coffee and Bev got stuck in the toilet !

Finally on the metro !  

This time we walked down lots of steps through the old town to the river and then walked over the bridge to the port houses.

We bought some croft pink port that is a new drink and we enjoyed it back on the boat, chilled as an aperitif.
