Gibraltar

A lovely sunny trip from Estepona to Gibraltar on Wednesday morning and we had great fun dodging endless poorly marked fishing nets all the way.

As well as dolphins, we saw several black dorsal fins today, one of them close up which looked like a small shark lolloping around in the sun, we assume they must be basking sharks.

It was nice to get tied up in Gibraltar again, there are several rally boats here already, although most of the owners are back in the UK saying their farewells and sorting out last minute business.

A quick trip to M&S for barbeque ribs and jam sponge pudding and custard for dinner – yum.

We were a couple of scrubbers for most of Thursday attacking the teak decks with a vengeance.

There was brief excitement when a parcel from Discovery yachts was delivered to the boat – the system works – hurray !

It was just spare parts – replacement fans and transom light and some hull paint, more jobs to go on the ‘list’.

Tomorrow we are going to wash the rest of the boat ready for hull and stainless steel polishing.

Maybe a trip to Morrisons and the chandlers in the afternoon – we have lots of shopping wish lists !
