Another bouncy night with the boat steaming along at between 8 and 9 knots and the wind speed between 20 and 27 knots.

Listening to the other boats that left ahead of us it seems we have had a relatively easy time as several boats have had waves landing in the cockpit and some have been trailing warps and sea anchors to slow themselves down in order to keep the boat in control and also avoid arriving in the dark.

The seas are very rough off the Columbian coast and so we have kept at least 100 miles off this coast, some boats were tempted to cut the corner a bit and experienced very rough sea conditions with 8 metre waves. It was good to get this feedback and plan our route accordingly.

The flying fish are loving the big waves, there are hundreds of them flying around and then crashing spectacularly into the frothy waves !
