The storm finally subsided yesterday and we had some gentle seas which was a nice relief.

After sailing on and off throughout the night we are now motoring along the coast of Sri Lanka, dodging lots of fishing boats and the occasional tanker.

We have 12 miles to go and should enter the port just after dawn, 8.00am boat time, and 6.30am local time where we will anchor to wait for the Navy to inspect the boat and escort us into the inner harbour.

We also have to clear in at Customs, immigration, port control, Health and Police – so it will be a busy day (assuming they are all open on a Sunday).
