On our return trip to Gibraltar the sun shone, the dolphins joined us and I caught a good sized Spanish mackerel for dinner.

I reeled it in then Richard netted it whilst I squirted gin in it’s gills without much effect so I followed on with a couple of blows to the head with the winch handle!

During the trip we tested out our SSB long range radio which worked great, our newly repaired VHF however blew all the fuses and the main control box yet again.

We have spent all day today phoning and e-mailing suppliers and installers to get some help from the UK.

Two complete re builds and loads of money and we are still without an operating VHF and now we are fast running out of time  – you can imagine how we feel !
