We are on target to arrive in Galapagos on Monday, just 24 hrs to go !

So much for downwind sailing, we have been hard into the wind for over 24 hrs now and so much for no wind as we have over 20 knots, force 5.

It is quite tiring getting around the boat whilst heeled over and it s quite hot as all the hatches are closed because every so often a wave washes over us.

The big bonus is that we are sailing free and our diesel tanks won’t need replenishing in Galapagos which often has to be done by filling containers at the local garage.

It would have taken us all week to refill our 1100 litre tanks !

Mark is off watch and tucked up on the downwind seat, sleeping in the cockpit this morning, more comfortable than trying not to roll out of our big bed !

We are looking forward to Galapagos as we have booked a mini 5 day cruise on a small motor cruiser to explore the islands with an official guide.

Can’t wait to be pampered with air conditioned cabins and all meals provided  - heaven !

There is even a Jacuzzi on the sun deck – but then all boats have a Jacuzzi don’t they ?
